Patriotic musical evening to honour martyrs

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commemorating 75 years of India’s Independence and in celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Meghalaya’s statehood, ‘Shraddhanjali’, a patriotic musical evening dedicated to Martyrs was held at Raj Bhavan, Shillong on Friday.

Meghalaya  Governor, Satya Pal Malik graced the function as the Chief Guest. The programme featured performances showcasing the sounds of indigenous musical band, patriotic songs by Priyanka Chaudhary and the Assam Rifles Jazz Band.

The programme was organised by Raj Bhavan in collaboration with  the Directorate of Arts and Culture, Governmmet of Meghalaya and ICCR, Shillong (MIPR).
