PhD conferred for thesis on rathole mining of coals
The North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has conferred the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) to Miss Lily Shylla, recently.
The doctorate is awarded on her completion of thesis entitled “Characterization of bacteria from rat-hole coal mines of Meghalaya”.
She worked under the supervision of Prof S.R Joshi, Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong.

Dr. Lily Shylla is the daughter of Mrs. Bian Shylla and (L) Pyrno Chettri and hailed from Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills District.
