Phensedyl worth Rs 2.1 lakh seized in West Jaintia Hills
Over 1025 bottles of Phensedyl amounting to Rs 2.1 lakhs have been seized from along the international border in West Jaintia Hills on Saturday, BSF said on Sunday.
The phensedyl were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh, they said.
Since the commencement of this year, BSF Meghalaya seized 7433 bottles of phensedyl from Indo-Bangladesh Border. Smuggling prone routes and patches are kept under strict vigilance by BSF to tighten the noose on smugglers and to discourage their nefarious attempts.
