The Shillong Jowai Silchar Road is lying in its worst ever form for the first time in the past 49 years of statehood. Though the road is part and parcel of the National Highway 6 but a village road is ten time far better than the NH-6 presently.

Due to the potholes in the National Highway 6 in several locations the movement of vehicles especially loaded trucks have been adversely resulting in breakdown of vehicles and traffic jams.
