Plying of heavy vehicles on Mukhla Mupliang road prohibited
The District Magistrate, West Jainta Hills in an order issued under Section 144 CrPC prohibits plying of heavy loaded trucks carrying more than 9 metric tonnes along Mukhla Shohshrieh – Myrjai to Mupliang road (9.966 Km) under construction.
The order has been issued on the information received from the Superintending Engineer, PWD (Roads) cum District project Coordinator, PMGSY, Jowai circle that the ongoing PMGSY Project at Mukhla Shohshrieh- Myrjai to Mupliang road (9.966 Km) is in progress and the conductor finds it difficult to execute the work due to the increasing numbers of heavy loaded trucks and dumpers transporting stone boulders from Myrjai Village to Bangladesh plying through this road which are carrying 20 to 40 tonnes which is beyond the permissible limit of 9 tonnes and has also damage the road pavement.
This order come into force with immediate effect until further orders.
