Plying of heavy vehicles restricted in certain routes of West Garo Hills

The continuous heavy rainfall over the past week has damaged various PWD roads at multiple locations across West Garo Hills District especially Garobadha Selsella – Balachanda PWD road stretch.

The District Administration West Garo Hills has restricted the plying of heavy vehicles temporarily during rainy days until further orders.

General public are hereby advised to avoid unnccessary travel along the stretch.

In cases of emergency. prior to any journey on the stretch they should take updates from the nearest Police Station or from the Block office.

Utmost caution is to be observed by LMV as restoration works are in progress. Updates will also be shared in the District facebook page on the restoration of the road.
