PM Modi to visit Assam, to address poll rallies in Nalbari on April 17
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam with a two-day-long programme on April 16 and 17 to campaign for the BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Modi will arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bodrolodi International Airport (LGBIA) on April 16, from where he will arrive at the State Guest House No 1 at Koinadhara, Khanapara for the night halt.
On April 17, PM Modi will address a huge election rally at Govt Gurdon HS School playground, Nalbari at 10.30 am to campaign for AGP candidate from Barpeta constituency Phani Bhushan Choudhury.
Nearly, 2 lakh people are likely to gather in the election rally in Nalbari, party sources here said.
On the same day, Modi will leave for Agartala for the poll campaign in Tripura.
“There is no programme of the Prime Minister in Guwahati. There will be no roadshow also. But a sea of people is expected to gather to welcome the Prime Minister on the occasion of the Rongali Bihu festival,” Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma told reporters here on Thursday.
