Poachers arrested in West Garo Hills
In a major breakthrough into the recent cases of Elephant poaching at the International Border of India-Bangladesh, in the general area of Purakhasia Outpost under Dalu PS, West Garo Hills.
Based on the inputs of BSF, today at around 7pm, a joint operation was conducted by West Garo Hills Police along with Wildlife Department. Upon raiding the house of one of suspects at Balijora, Purakhasia; 2(two) nos of Elephant Tusks were recoverd.
Accordingly, all legal formalities has been observed, accused arrested and Operations has been intensified to nab the remaining members of this poaching gang.
