Police have denied media reports about a dog bite incident involving Solin Suting from Pyrdiwah in Nongtalang Village.
Police said, Suting was detained around 2 am on June 12 during a night patrol by Dawki Police due to suspicions over his nationality. His appearance and clothing resembled those of a Bangladeshi national, and he had a Bangladeshi ID card belonging to Shomor Rikason. He was brought to the police station for interrogation and verification.
Police stated that while Suting was on the premises, he was bitten by a dog. He was offered hospital treatment however he declined, stating that he will manage his own medicine since he is a local doctor himself. He insisted that the police take him to his residence in Pyrdiwah, and he was accordingly taken home.
The police clarified that the incident was unfortunate but not as alleged in the media. It was later learned that his family took him to Nongtalang Community Health Center for treatment, and he has been discharged from the hospital.
