Post poll violence: Night curfew imposed in Sahsniang

Four days after imposition of curfew after post poll violence broke out in Sahsniang village, West Jaintia Hills District Magistrate on Monday has relaxed the curfew in view of the overall improvement of situation in the village.

However, in order to prevent anti social elements from taking undue advantage in the Night, the District Magistrate imposed Night Curfew from 9.00 PM to 5.00 A.M with effect from Monday until further orders.

After the declaration of result of Mowkaiaw Assembly Constituency embittered NPP supporters attacked the houses of UDP supporters in Sahsniang and damaged their houses and vehicles.
