Mystery of the Universe

The Spirit within and without

We live in a desperate and unpredictable time

Bewildered and uncertain,

What we hold in high esteem turn futile

We thought our future is safe if the economy is strong

But we’re wrong

It turn out wealth cannot protect us    

We assume our intelligence will help us tight through any storm

Wrong again

The Self proclaim Master of the Universe is so trivial 

Frail human that we are

We look upward and we look around

But there is silence everywhere  

We look inward

And ask is this new?

Are we fighting a new enemy?

Call it by any name

Plaque, pestilence, war or pandemic

Are but the different manifestations

Of pride and greed, the same human pettiness

The only way to fight this common enemy is to look inward

To one self and the mystery of the Universe, the unknown   

And to find solace that we are one but together

Now is not the time to point finger but to work together

Meanness will only help slide us down further

Our survival depends on one another

We rise or fall together     

We are all in this together.
