Pre-booking COVID-19 test now available: DC East Jaintia Hills

The person who wants to be tested shall pay for the testing at the rate of Rs. 3200 per test. They shall pay at the concerned Hospital/Laboratory for testing.

The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District informs the general public that according to the new process of pre-booking tests at laboratories for those availing short quarantine protocols. Persons who can book for testing as of now are only those who have entered the State and would like to avail pre-booking tests to complete the short quarantine (7days). For others who wanted to get tested, it shall be added in the near future.

He also said that there is a need for testing those coming for longer duration of stay and they can avail this facility so that they may resume their activities if tested negative. The person who wants to be tested shall pay for the testing at the rate of Rs. 3200 per test. They shall pay at the concerned Hospital/Laboratory for testing.

Government Facilities shall arrange a mechanism to collect the money and deposit in the respective Hospital Management Society account. These funds shall be used only for COVID-19 related expenses of the hospitals.

Further, the Hospitals/Laboratories need to make other additional arrangements, a Data Entry operator is required with a laptop and internet connection to check the details of those coming for testing. The same person may also be used for collecting the fees for testing or the accountant/person in-charge to collect money shall also do the data entry on www.coronamegh.in.
