President of India Droupadi Murmu to inaugurate Meghalaya Games
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed that President of India Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the fifth edition of the Meghalaya Games on January 15 at Tura.
Taking to social media, Sangma said, “Dear friends, it gives me immense pleasure and happiness to inform you that the Honourable President of India Smti Droupadi Murmuji will be visiting our state on the 15th and 16th of January, 2024. On the 15th, she will be gracing the Meghalaya Games as the chief guest of that programme which will be a great encouragement for the youth of our state. On the 16th, she will be proceeding to Shillong and attending many programmes in Shillong. I once again take the opportunity to thank her and welcome her to our state.”
It may be mentioned that the much anticipated Meghalaya Games will be held in Tura from January 15 – January 20 which will witness the participation of over 3000 athletes in about 19 disciplines.
