Prime Minister Modi salutes workers on World Wildlife Day
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has saluted those who work toward the protection of wildlife on World Wildlife Day today.
In his tweet, he also mentioned that the population of various animals in India are stable.
He put forward that, “We should do everything possible to ensure protection of our forests and safe habitats for animals.“
World Wildlife Day is annually celebrated on March 3, to raise awareness of the beautiful and varied forms of fauna and flora of the world. The theme for this year is Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet.
According to the United Nations, “This day will celebrate forest-based livelihoods and seek to promote forest and forest wildlife management practices that accommodate both human well-being and the long-term conservation of forests and promote the value of traditional practices that contribute to establishing a more sustainable relationship with these crucial natural systems.“
