Prohibition on the use of domestic LPG cylinder for commercial purposes

West Jaintia Hills District Administration has issued a notice prohibiting the use of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes. 

The notice stated that all proprietors of hotels, restaurants, dhabas, canteens, street vendors etc., in the district that use of domestic LPG cylinders for any commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.

The district administration will conduct a surprise inspection, and any establishment found using 14.2 kg LPG domestic cylinders instead of commercial LPG cylinders will face stern action in accordance with the Gas Cylinder Rules, 2016.
