Prohibitory for candidates & parties vying for Sohiong seat

In the interest of ensuring free and fair election in Sohiong Assembly Constituency, District Magistrate and District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills District Sibhi Chakravarthy Sadhu, IAS has issued a list of prohibitory to the contesting candidates or their agents or the Political Parties for compliance.

No wall writing pasting of posters/papers or defacement in any other form, or erecting/displaying of cut-outs, hoardings, banners etc. shall be permitted on any public property/public premises.

No Political Parties or Candidates will be allowed to put up banners on all roads/thoroughfares.

No wall writing, pasting of posters/papers or defacement in any other form, or erecting/ displaying of cut-outs, hoardings, banners etc. shall be permitted on any private property, private walls without written permission from the house-owners and final approval from the DC office, Shillong.

No Election meeting would be allowed without taking permission from DC Office, Shillong and subsequently local beadmen regarding the venue of the meeting.

No. P.A. System will be allowed to be used between 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

In case of P.A System/Loud speakers which are used without permission from the undersigned the same would be seized immediately by the local authorities.

No rallies and procession will be allowed without the permission from DC Office Shillong.
