Purakhasia C&RD Block created in South West Garo Hills

The creation of new community & rural development block in Meghalaya has become the order of the day with almost every week two or three C&RD Blocks are being created in a run up to the Assembly Elections.

On Friday, the Meghalaya Government notified the creation of Purakhasia C&RD Block in the State with immediate effect.

This was informed by the Principal Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, C&RD Department.

Purakhasia C&RD Block shall comprise of the villages of Halchati, Madragre, Seragre, Noksi, Belobor, Nekdalgre, Naronggre, Naronggre Songitcham, Dolbapara, Dobokgre, Bidapara, Sonajuri, Borobollang, Chottobollang, Rohonpara, Kotchu Adok, Sanda Adu, Gobindapara, Bondhukosa, Porakhasia, Bhatuagaon, Balijhora, Dobakura A, Dobakura B, Borjhora, Balihata, Chongnapara, Khasipara, Sandagre Polpola, Jarangkhona, Monupara, Darong Adu, Jarangpara, Medhupara, Santang Nokatgre, Agalgre, Pokasindigre, Genapara, Babelapara, Wakmedamgre, Dusinggre, Gopramgre, Molongpara, Hatimara, Anchenggre, Kerupara (Bokmagre), Mrengpara, Gujangpara, Rapangpanggre, Sanjangpara, Bakdagre, Rimtangpara, Ritekpara, Samtangpara, Damdiloka, Josipara, Songmagre, Gopinathkilla, Durapara, Dingampara, Salmanpara, Dinapara, Darugre, Nachilpara, Bangdapara, Chopapara, Boldakgre, Damalgre, Sindilgre, Kimdegre, Okchokgre, Kidapara, Santogre, Megapgre and Kerupara.

With this creation, the above listed villages will cease to exist in their respective earlier C&RD Blocks.
