Pyniaid assures to dedicate MLA scheme to people of Mawryngkneng if elected MLA
KHADC chairman and NPP candidate Pyniaid Sing Syiem on Thursday promised to dedicate the rupees two and a half crore MLA scheme to the people of Mawryngkneng if elected in the upcoming bye election slated for October 30.
“We will totally dedicate the two and a half crore MLA scheme to the people of Mawryngkneng,” Syiem told reporters after filing his nomination.
“If the people give me the chance to win as MLA, the first and foremost thing we will do is to work together with the dorbar shnong to ensure basic necessities which include drinking water supply, roads, power supply to all household especially under the Saubhagya scheme,” he added.
He said as a sitting MDC he has tried his best to serve the people of the constituency.
“We have also tried to work together with the people from different walks including SHGs, sports, to see how we ensure our constituency develops in all aspects,” he said.
Stating that the constituency still lacks behind in terms of health facilities, Syiem said, “We have been able to convince the government to upgrade the PHC into a CHC. This is not for my personal benefit or for the benefit of the government but it is for the people of the constituency.
