Rain delays semifinals of Women’s T20 Tournament to Friday
Due to persistent rain today, the semifinals of the 1st Senior Women’s Interstate Friendship T20 Tournament have been rescheduled to the reserve day, Friday.
Organized by the North East Cricket Development Council and hosted by the Meghalaya Cricket Association, the tournament is taking place at the Pahamsning Cricket Ground in Ri-Bhoi.
A brief window allowed a few overs of the first match between Meghalaya and Nagaland in the morning, but the match could not be completed, nor could the second match between Sikkim and Manipur begin.
The Tournament Committee has decided to replay the semifinals tomorrow, with Meghalaya facing Nagaland at 9am and Sikkim taking on Manipur at 12:30pm.
If no result is possible tomorrow, Rule No. 14 of the tournament will be applied to determine the outcome. Initially, a super over will be used. If a super over is not possible, a “bowl out” will be conducted, and if that is also not feasible, the result will be decided by a coin toss.
The final is scheduled for Saturday, with no reserve day available.
