Random testing: over 400 tests negative in 3 districts of Meghalaya
Over 400 persons have tested negative for COVID-19 during a random testing conducted by the health department in three districts of the state.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War informed that a total of 418 persons were tested during a random testing conducted in East Jaintia Hills district, West Garo Hills district and East Garo Hills district and all were found to be negative.
In East Jaintia Hills, he said 89 persons were tested at Lumshnong, 71 in Umpleng and 67 in Ladrymbai.
He said 91 persons were also tested at ISBT, 11 at Phulbari Primary Health Centre (PHC) and 62 at Bhaitbari PHC in West Garo Hills, while 27 in Williamnagar, the district headquarters of East Garo Hills.
It may be mentioned here that the health department had identified as many as 71 clusters across the state for conducting the random testing to ensure there is no community spread of the COVID-19 in the state.
