Rates for Covid-19 testing

The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District informs the general public that the Government of Meghalaya has approved inclusion of COVID-19 testing packages in the Transaction Management System for all Private Hospitals, for the current policy period till 31^st January, 2021.

According to the Notification, the rates for COVID- 19 testing through Rapid Antigen Test is Rs. 500/-, for RT-PCR test the cost is Rs. 1000/-, Rs. 1500/- will be charged for TRUNAAT and Rs. 3000/- for CBNAAT.

The Guidelines for COVID-19 testing states that COVID-19 Test Packages is available only in ICMR/ Authorized Laboratories in Private Hospitals, mandatory report to be uploaded in the Transaction Management System. Furthermore, Hospitals incentive will not be applicable for COVID-19 test packages and Hospital conducting the test is eligible to block the package.

The COVID-19 test will be applicable for only 3 categories that includes In- patients, beneficiaries requiring day care surgical/ non surgical invasive procedures and all patients planned for elective surgery test done on Out- Patients basis.
