Recruitment for elite Special Force-10 of Meghalaya Police cancelled

The Meghalaya Police has cancelled the recruitment of personnel under the elite Special Force-10 and appealed to applicants to select others available posts.

Notably, Meghalaya Police invited application for various posts in SF-10 Group of Meghalaya Police in 2019-20 vide this Office Advertisement Memo No. PTS/RECR/01/2019/6811-6876, dated 12th November, 2019.

However the Government of Meghalaya vide. Memo No. HPL. 234/2020/48 – A dated the 27th May, 2021 had notified the restructuring of the SF – 10 and subsequently amended the SF-10 Rules, vide No. HPL. 234/ 2020/47 dated the 27th May, 2021.

“Thus, recruitment for the SF-10 Group only namely – ABSI Male, Commando Constable (Male), Commando Constable (Female) and Signal Operator – stands cancelled due to the above amendment,” informed Police Central Recruitment Board Chairman M K Dkhar.

Those applicants who have not opted for any other posts other than SF-10 posts as above are now given an opportunity to exercise their option for the other posts that were advertised in the above mentioned advertisement.
