Regular washing of hands can stop chain of COVID-19

The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat informed the general public that in pursuance to the instruction of the Government and as precautionary measures to safeguard the inhabitants/ citizens of the state from the possibility of an outbreak and spread of the COVID -19 (Corona virus), all students and people from the District who have arrived from the affected states and affected Countries are advised to mandatorily report to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat through 108, 6009693315 (Surveillance Office) for follow up on their wellbeing, etc.

 All such travellers are also advised to maintained social distancing and self-quarantine at home for 14 (fourteen) days and call the above mentioned numbers for any assistance from the Health Department and District Authority.

 Furthermore, People of the District are advised to maintain frequent hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette so that the transmission chain of the COVID-19 can be stopped.

All Parents/ District Heads/ Heads of Office/ Headmen/ NGOs/Civil Society Organisation in the District are to effectively assist in this process for the health and safety of everyone.
