Religious places to remain closed in East & West Jaintia Hills District

The District Magistrate, East Jaintia Hills District in a press release issued here informs the general public in compliance to Government of Meghalaya order on the  6^th June, 2020 and the  Prohibitory  Order  U/S  144 CrPC  issued by the office of the District Magistrate, East Jaintia Hills District on  8^th June,2020  permitting Religious places, Places of worship to reopen with effect from 14^th of June, 2020.

However, in pursuance  of Government Order issued on the 9^th of June, 2020 the permission granted to open religious places, places of worship in the District is hereby kept in abeyance till further orders. 

Similar order was also issued by West Jaintia Hills District Magistrate.
