Reservation policy: Meghalaya Govt constitutes search committee to appoint members of expert panel
The state government has constituted a Search Committee to identify members of the Expert Committee for reviewing the 1972 state reservation policy.
The three-member Search Committee will be headed by Chief Secretary DP Wahlang. The two members include Commissioner & Secretary in-charge Personnel & AR department R Lyngdoh and Secretary in-charge Law department CVD Diengdoh.
A notification issued by the chief secretary on Tuesday said, “…the Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to constitute a Search Committee to identify members of the Expert Committee to review the State Reservation Policy as notified in Resolution PER. 222/71/138, dated Shillong the 12th January, 1972…”
“The Committee shall submit its recommendation to the government within a period of one month with effect from the date of issue of this order,” it said.
