Restriction lifted in Inter-State Border roads with Assam
The District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills on Wednesday has lifted the restriction on movement of people and vehicles through the traditional Inter-State Border roads with Assam with immediate effect and until further orders under the following conditions:
Opening of entry points at Saphai and Tihwieh under Laskein C&RD Block and Khanduli under Thadlaskein C&RD Block for livelihood activities subject to the testing for COVID-19 conducted after every 10 days for which individual health card should be maintained for all person entering and exiting the State frequently for their livelihood. The testing for COVID-19 in respect of entry/exit point at Saphai shall be conducted at Priang PHC, Tihwieh at Sahsniang PHC and Khanduli at Namdong PHC.
However, other categories of people other than for livelihood activities, entry into the State shall continue through the designated entry points (viz; Ratacherra and Byrnihat) as per the revised protocols for Testing and Discharge in COVID-19.
In addition, the District Magistrate had directed all to strictly comply with the SOPs and other Protocols already put in place or being put in place by the Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India
