Restuarants, beauty parlours to reopen from June 22
The state government has decided to permit restuarants, beauty parlours and saloons to re-open from June 22.
“We have decided to allow re-opening of restuarants, beauty parlours, saloons and barber shops in the entire state from June 22,” Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters after a review meeting held on Wednesday.
“However, restuarants located along the national highways will continue to remain closed until further orders,” he said.
Tynsong informed that the health department is still working out the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reopening of these shops.
“We will issue the SOPs within few days time,” he said.
Asked, the deputy CM said the government is yet to decide on reopening of educational institutions in the state.
“The question to allow partial re-opening does not arise,” he said.
On re-opening of hotels and home-stays, Tynsong informed that all deputy commissioners have been instructed to hold consultations with the stakeholders and to submit a report within a day or two for the government to take a final call on the matter.
