Rev Dunai nominated as chairman of newly formed MCUF

The Meghalaya United Christian Forum (MUCF), a conglomeration of pastors and lay leaders of various Christian denominations representing the Khasi, Jaintia and Garo community, was formed at a meeting held on Wednesday.

Rev (Dr) Batkupar Dunai was nominated as the chairman of the Forum. The other office bearers include Vice-Chairman Tony TC Marak, Secretary Synsharlang Kharshiing, Asst. Secretary Rev. David Marbaniang, and Treasurer Eric Brandon Nongkynrih. The Executive Members include Rev. S. Siangshai and Rev. Puhran Sangma.

The main vision of the MUCF is building God’s kingdom by inculcating and upholding the core Christian values, defending the Biblical Christian faith and the welfare of the Christians, a statement said.

It said the MUCF is committed to pray for the leaders of the state and the nation of India to be blessed with divine knowledge and wisdom in their commitment to discharge their duties in the administration for the upliftment and development of the country.

Besides, the MUCF will serve the Christian believers irrespective of church denominations and encourage harmony and unity through corporate prayer and serve as a prophetic voice to speak out boldly and intercede for the well being and vital healing of the state and the nation at large.
