Revised order for permitted activities in East Khasi Hills
The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Isawanda Laloo in a notification issued revised the order regarding the permitted activities in East Khasi Hills.
In a notification issued on Tuesday, the DC said that in view of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in East Khasi Hills District, the revised restriction on permitted activities are as follows:-
- Maximum number of persons allowed during any religious/social/private gatherings is decreased to 50 % of the seating capacity.
- Maximum number of persons allowed in places of worship is decreased to 50 % of the seating capacity.
- For outdoor sports, spectators are permitted upto 50% of the seating capacity.
- Cinema halls to operate at 50% of the seating capacity.
- All shops, establishments, restaurants and bars are directed to shut down by 9:00 PM, or as per timing issued vide existing order, whichever is earlier.
“In line with the above, permission already issued by this office for any religious/ social/ private gatherings to be held after the 13th April, 2021 is hereby modified to permit attendance strictly upto only 50% of the total seating capacity. Random checks may be conducted and non-compliance will be met with action as per law,” the notification said.
