Revised rates for Covid-19 testing in East Jaintia Hills

In accordance with the Government Order, the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District informs that the rates of various COVID-19 tests being conducted in the state have been revised and fixed.

According to the Notification, the Existing Rate for Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) is Rs 500/- per test and the New Rate has been fixed at Rs. 250/- per test. For RT-PCR Test the Existing Rate per test is Rs.1000/- and the New Rate per test will be at Rs. 500/-.

All those who require to be tested at the Entry Points will be charged as per approved rates. Furthermore, those who belong to Below Poverty Line(BPL) Households (Yellow and Pink NFSA Cardholders) on medical advice can avail of the testing for free at any of the Government Facilities only. The testing slots shall be subject to availability. Testing in a Private facility will be on a payment basis only.

It also mentioned that all those who have been identified as High-Risk contact in the containment zones and those advised by the Health Department officials will be tested free of cost.

Any person(including MHIS cardholders) who desire to get tested with RAT/ RT-PCR on their own without medical advice shall approach facilities for getting tested on payment of the relevant cost of the test, stated in the notification.
