Ri Bhoi admin asks candidates for DEO post to go for home quarantine
The district administration of Ri Bhoi on Tuesday asked all persons who appeared for a walk-in-interview for the post of DEO to go for home quarantine for 14 days.
The walk-in-interview for the post of DEO was held in the Deputy Commissioner’s office at Nongpoh on July 11.
“All persons who appeared for the walk-in-interview…are advised to go for home quarantine for 14 days with self monitoring of their health by wearing masks, social distancing & hand washing,” Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah said in a statement issued here.
“During the period of quarantine, should any of the symptoms – fever, cough and difficulty in breathing is developed, first isolate yourself and contact the district control room no 03638232028/1077 and health helpline no. 8787520449,” the statement said.
The statement however did not point out the reason behind the advisory issued on this matter.
Earlier when a reporter asked about the incident of a positive case detected after the walk in interview during a daily media briefing, Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said that no such case was reported so far.
