Ri Bhoi to continue with curfew till May 4th with relaxation on some activities
In compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India vide Order No. 40-3/2020-DM-I(A). dt. 15th April, 2020 and State Government Order No. POL.75/2020/Ptl/20, dt 23rd April, 2020 and in continuation to Order No.DCRB(CN) /COVID-19/1/2020/203-A. Dated Nongpoh the 23rd April 2020, following order is given in order to enable the local residents to purchase their basic and daily essential commodities during the ongoing Curfew Order promulgated in Ri Bhol District:
All the Fair price shops in Ri Bhoi District will be open w.e.f. 26 April, 2020 to 4h May, 2020
Identified Groceries and essential items shops will open in all the localities of Ri Bhoi District on w.e.f. 26th April, 2020 to 4th May, 2020 from 09:00 AM to 05-00 PM so as to meet the requirements of the local resident.
Vegetables/fruits/meat Vendors and Confectionery Shops of the respective localities will also open their shops.
The Following Commercial and Private establishment as listed below will be allowed to operate in Ri Bhoi District w.e.f. 26th April, 2020 to 4th May, 2020 from 09:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Shop dealing in Essential Goods.
Courier Services for essential goods.
Common Service Centres.
Services provided by self-employed person e.g electrician. IT repairs plumber, motor mechanics and carpenters.
Shop for repair for trucks on highways.
Hardware wholesale shops of Ri Bhoi only for the purpose of direct delivery to the site orHardware shops in rural areas after permission from the Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District.
All agriculture and allied sectors activities like farming operation including livestock farming,Poultry, Fishery and Hatcheries, collection, processing and distribution of milk and milk products,warehouses, Manufacturing Packaging and distribution of agriculture inputs, seed, animal feed and fodder, movement of harvesting and sowing related machines/implements. Farmers requested to contact 1917/9774040444/9366496783 to assist them to sell their products.
Operation of Tea industry including plantations with maximum 50% of workforce for production, processing packaging and marketing.
Transportation of all agricultural products subject to transit point and route specified by the Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bboi District considering prevailing COVID-19 situation.
Veterinary hospital, Dispensaries, Clinic, sale and supply of medicine and vaccines.
MNREGA works are allowed with strict implementation of social distancing and face mask. Priority to given to irrigation and water conservation works.
Industries/industrial establishment (both government and private), as listed below will be allowed to operate: (i). Food processing industries in rural areas and (ii). Bricks, kilns in rural areas.
Construction activities (i). Construction of roads, (ii). Irrigation projects, (ii). Building and all kinds of industrial project, including MSMEs in rural areas.
Quarrying of chips and aggregates including their transportation.
The Local Headman (Rangbah Shnong) in coordination with the District Police will regulate the operation of the shops in their respective localities & villages and to also ensure due compliance to the Advisories of Government in the Health & Family Welfare Department with special and strict reference to frequent hand wash, coughing etiquette and Social Distancing concerning the COVID-19 situation.
In addition, the public are requested to strictly:
Maintain Social Distancing of at least 1 metre,
Not to overcrowd in one area/ shop.
To wear mask. This is mandatory.
Not to spit in public places.
Cooperate with management made by the District Administration, District Police and Headman
Similar arrangements will be made for the days to come and specific instructions will be suitably published well in advance
Adequate stock is available and there is no need to panic and resort to hoarding as it will have an adverse impact.
