Rich cultural tapestry of Meghalaya unveiled at 20th annual CPA conference cultural evening

Drawing the curtains on the 20^th Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association-India Region Zone III held at Shillong, a cultural evening entitled “Echoes from the Hills of Meghalaya” was held at Raj Bhavan, Shillong on Sunday.

The event was graced by the presence of the Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan, Speakers and Deputy Speakers from all the North Eastern States, Cabinet Ministers, senior officials of the State Government and the Armed Forces and delegates of the 20^th Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association-India Region Zone III.

The highlight of the evening was a captivating seamless performance showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Meghalaya presented through traditional music, songs, dances and attire.

The programme was organized by the Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), North East Zone.
