Road Safety Awareness held in Shillong

On the occasion of “Pan India Awareness & Outreach Programme as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Legal Services Week” the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority in collaboration with the High Court Legal Services Committee, District Legal Services Authority, District Transport Office and Police Department (Traffic) organized Road Safety Awareness on Monday.

During the programme, Pamphlets were distributed to create awareness amongst the public about the Road Safety (Basic rules of the road); Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and its rules and regulations.

The awareness programme covered various areas of Shillong City viz. Police Bazar, Motphran, Anjalee Pump, Iew Mawlong, Dhankheti, Laitumkhrah and Polo.
