RV Suchiang sworn in as Meghalaya’s Chief Information Commissioner

The former Chief Secretary of Meghalaya, RV Suchiang, was sworn in as the State Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) on April 3, at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.
The swearing-in was administered by Governor CH Vijayashankar in the presence of state government officials and the newly appointed CIC’s family members.
The event began with the National Anthem, followed by the reading of the official notification by FR Kharkongor, Commissioner Secretary, Department of Arts and Culture, announcing Suchiang’s appointment.
Suchiang will serve a three-year term as the Chief Information Commissioner of Meghalaya.
