Ryndia Silk exported to Singapore
Giving the much-needed boost to the state’s textile industry, especially to recognise the tireless efforts of women artisans and entrepreneurs, 300 units of the exquisite Ryndia stoles have been exported to Singapore.
Meghalayan Age Limited has taken the significant step to facilitate the dispatch to the Singapore market, in a way to promote Brand Meghalaya to the global market.
The simple, yet elegant attire which is reputed as a distinguished One District One Product (ODOP) from Ri Bhoi district, is known as ‘Peace silk’ or ‘Ahimsa silk’.
The Ryndia silk will be presented as door gifts at the Republic Day reception by the High Commission of India in Singapore.

Taking to social media, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said, “This achievement is a testament to the hard work, talent, and dedication of our artisans and entrepreneurs. Together, we continue to showcase the beauty of Meghalaya to the world.”
