Sales of petrol/diesel in jerikin prohibited in Tura

In view of the prevailing situation in West Garo Hills District, the District Magistrate prohibited the selling of Petrol/Diesel in jerikin.

According to an order, all the Petrol Pump Owners are hereby directed not to sell the Petrol/Diesel in jerikin except permission issued by the competent authorities.

This order will come into force with immediate effect and remain until further orders.

Several NGO of Garo Hills are opposing the election of Rakesh A Sangma as chief executive member of GHADC on ground that he is non tribal.
