Samagra Shiksha, Assam hosts a live podcast on career counselling
In its continued effort to inspire and guide students, Samagra Shiksha, Assam (SSA) hosted the fourth episode of its Career Counselling Podcast Series on November 29. This initiative targets students from classes IX to XII, offering them valuable insights into career opportunities and preparation strategies.
The session featured Narayan Konwar, IAS, Secretary, Department of School Education, Assam, who shared his expertise on detailed strategies, myth-busting about exam mediums, and tips for success, breaking down the structure and requirements for civil service exams and advice on selecting the right coaching institute.
The live event was streamed across multiple platforms, including Tele-Education Classrooms, Smart Classrooms, YouTube, and Facebook, attracting over 18,000 viewers. Shri Konwar’s motivational talk emphasized perseverance and strategic preparation, sparking active participation and engagement among students.
Samagra Shiksha, Assam complements these live podcasts with robust career support initiatives, including reaching 8.6 lakh secondary students across 4,285 government schools, provides a detailed chart of educational pathways, required skills, and job opportunities and serve as a blueprint for achieving students’ dream careers.
4,326 teachers have been trained to offer career counselling sessions, ensuring sustained guidance at the grassroots level.
