Sanitization measures begin at Meghalaya state secretariat, 9 employees tested COVID-19 positive
Three more employees of the state secretariat have tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said altogether nine cases have been detected from the state secretariat, after the test results of three more employees have turned out to be positive.
According to him, these are employees of the different departments in the secretariat and that contact tracing is going on.
Meanwhile, sanitization measures are in full swing to disinfect the state secretariat, which also houses the office of the Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma – and its additional building.
All the floors and lifts of the two buildings are being sanitized. These measures are being taken after positive cases have been detected on Thursday.
The sanitization process is being carried out by the health department on the government’s direction.
