Scheme for promotion & preservation of dying arts

The North East Zone Cultural Centre Dimapur invites application for availing the Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme for 2019-2020. Candidates within the age group of 45 to 75 years having thorough knowledge for imparting training in any cultural field of the region, i.e., folk dance/songs, bamboo/cane/woodcraft, folk theatre woodcraft, mask making etc. Emphasis will be given on dying & vanishing art forms of the region.

On selection and appointment of the Guru, he/she will appoint an Assistant and four Shishyas (within the age group of 15-25 years) and impart training for one year. Guru will get an honorarium of Rs. 7500/- per month, Accompanist (Assistant) @ Rs. 3750 per month and Shishyas @ Rs. 1500/- per head.

The application alongwith bio-data and supporting documents should be sent/submitted to the Directorate of Arts & Culture, State Central Library Complex, Shillong on or before 5^th October, 2020.
