Search committee for selecting Meghalaya Chief Information Commissioner notified

The Meghalaya Government has notified the constitution of the Search Committee for shortlisting of candidates for the post of State Chief Information Commissioner in the Meghalaya State Information Commission.

The Committee was notified on February 5, last with composed of Chief Secretary Donald P Wahlang as Chairman beside two members namely Vijay Kumar Mantri, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Meghalaya Information & Public Relations Department and Cyril V. Diengdoh, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Meghalaya, Personnel & A. R. Department.

The Search Committee shall prescribe the criteria for shortlisting of applicants for the post of Chief Information Commissioner and forward the names of the shortlisted candidates to the Selection Committee constituted under Section 15(3) of the RTI Act, 2005
