Seinraij Jowai gives thanks to all for successful Behdienkhlam
Seinraij Jowai extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of those who have contributed and participated in the festival, including the distinguished dignitaries who attended the culminating day of the festival.
Seinraij Jowai President OR Shallam and General Secretary Arwotki Sumer released a statement and express their gratitude to the Honourable Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan, and the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, Sanjib Banerjee. We are also grateful to Cabinet Minister Kyrmen Shylla, Adelbert Nongrum MLA North Shillong, and Lasky Rymbai Deputy Chief Executive Member, Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, for sparing their valuable time to join us.
The organisation thanked the Ministry of DONER, Government of India, NEC, Arts & Culture & Tourism, as well as the District Administration, West Jaintia Hills District, Planning Department, for their unwavering support in making our celebration colorful and successful. Our gratitude also extends to the various departments, including the Superintendent of Police, Public Health Engineer Department, Me.PDCL Department, Jowai Municipal Board, and Public Work Department, for their kind assistance.
We are immensely grateful to all the Dorbar Chnong, traditional Chiefs, and the Council of Priests, including the Dolloi’s and the Wasan of the various Elakas. We would like to express our appreciation to the Seng Khasi Kmie and the Seng Khasi from other branches of the entire Khasi Hills, as well as the national and international tourists and the wide spectrum of spectators from all sections of society.
The overwhelming festival wishes and messages we received from various departments, government dignitaries, and religious communities have deeply touched us. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Office of the Governor, the Ministry of Doner, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, and the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya.
Seinraij Jowai also wishes to express our appreciation to the religious communities, including My Home India, Delhi, All Faith Forum, Arch Bishop of Catholic Jowai, and Jowai Unitarian Church. We would like to give special thanks to our well-wishers who sent warm greetings and blessings for the festival through social media platforms. Additionally, we are grateful to the print and electronic media for their efforts in spreading the message and news through various channels.
Seinraij Jowai thanks all the people from the state and the country at large for their presence and support during the grand and successful celebration of the Annual Behdieñkhlam State Festival, which culminated on July 9th, 2023, at Aitnar sacred pool, West Jaintia Hills District. May the festival unite us all towards peace and harmony.
