Selection trial for new induction in SAI, STC Shillong

A series of 2nd selection trial for induction of talented sports persons in the disciplines of Archery, Athletic& Boxing, will be conducted for induction into the SAI, STC, Shillong under its residential & non-residential scheme.

Dates, venue and age group given as below:

Selection of the talent shall be done on the basis of sports performance and potential based on merits and performance with the Selection- based on achievements at various levels of recognized competition. ie, at the Inter National , National , State & District Level and through the battery of test as per their age and the skill test including their aptitude and attitude towards the concerned sports discipline.

The candidates are to appear along with their 2 recent passport size photograph and Aadhar card   along with attested copy of date of Birth certificate issued by the concerned Authority of the Municipality /CHC/Primary Health Centre/School /College or the Board/University concerned/ and sports achievement certificate (s).

Eligibility for appearing in the selection test:

AGE: His/her age should be 12yrs – 14yrs as on 01-04-2022. Relaxation on lower and higher age limit and the required minimum sports achievement level will be given to those talents having better future prospects as per expert observation.

FOR INDIVIDUAL EVENTS: At least First three position holders of District Championships,  Inter- Education District Level competitions, championships held by Confederations of Public Schools, CBSE, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidtalayas, PYKKA etc

FOR TEAM EVENT: Sportsperson who have participated at least in the recognized State level competitions organized by State Sports Associations, State Sports Council, School Game National and State Sports Departments may be considered for participation in the selection trials.

MEDICAL FITNESS CERTIFICATE: Candidate should produce Medical Fitness Certificate from the recognize medical practitioner at the time of selection trials. Any eventuality occurs during the selection trials, Sports Authority of India, Shillong, will not be responsible.

The admission would be confirmed after proper age verification and medical examination.
