Setting up of sub-centres at Umktieh, Nongtraw under examination

Minister in-charge Health & Family Welfare James K Sangma on Wednesday said that the setting up of health sub-centres at Umktieh and Nongtraw village is under examination by the government. 

The feasibility report from the District Medical & Heallth Officer, Ri Bhoi is still awaited, Sangma said while replying in the Assembly. 

When opposition All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) legislator from Umroi George B Lyngdoh wanted to know the reason for the delay to submit the feasibility report, Sangma said that the preparation of the feasibility report does take time. 

“The feasibility report is sort to find out whether the proposal conforms to the kind of requirement that are there for selection of location as a sub centre,” he said.

He also assured to get the matter examined while maintaining that the approval is subjected to the report when Lyngdoh requested him to look into the matter and ensure the health sub centres are set up at the earliest.
