Several injured in scuffle after election campaign in Rajabala

Several persons were injured after a scuffle broke out as soon as campaigning ended for the Rajabala bypoll on Wednesday evening.

Chief Electoral Officer FR Kharkongor informed that as per the ARO report, 11 supporters of the NPP and 10 from the INC  received minor injuries and they were discharged after administering first aid.

Meanwhile, sources informed that 7 Congress workers were injured when stones were pelted on their vehicles from the house of an NPP supporter near New Bhaitbari.  

As per reports, the injured persons were returning from the Congress campaign in Rajabala when stones were pelted at their vehicles leading to at least 7 of them being injured. The stone pelting also left 3 cars of the Congressmen damaged.
