Shallam accused Jowai MLA of nepotism & favouritism in implementation of MLA schemes

Training gun on Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla, OR Shallam a prominent citizen of Jowai Town on Wednesday accused the first time MLA of nepotism and favouritism in the implementation of MLA schemes in the constituency.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, Shallam said the MLA of the 2nd Jowai Assembly constituency has implemented many of his MLA schemes to his supporters irrespective of their financial status and background whereas turned blind eyes and deaf ears to the non-supporters of the constituency in broad day light.

He also questioned  is it now a common practice for the Politician to exercise such unjustified act? Or is it the true sense of democracy itself is being exploited by Politician for self gain and interest?

Shallam said that to be very honest, Jowai needs a saviour during such hardships.

The letter read that In light of the grievances and issues faced currently by the residents of Jowai town, “I being a concern and a responsible veteran citizen of the district place my sincerest appeal and request the much needed intervention from your end to address and come up with an immediate solution to our grievances otherwise the residents of Jowai will soon be losing our sense of faith and believes in democracy,” he added.
