SHG making National Flags in Meghalaya

SHGs (Self Help Groups) from all over the state of Meghalaya are leading the way in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign through their efforts in stitching the Indian National Flags to be hoisted from the 13th to 15th of August 2022 as part of Azadi ka Amrti Mahotsav. 

SHGs from all districts of the State have been engaged in making national flags to extend support to the campaign. The Government of Meghalaya, along with the rest of the country, is conducting the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, in the entire state of Meghalaya. The objective of the campaign is to encourage people to hoist the National Flag in their respective homes from the 13^th to 15^th of August 2022, to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
