Shillong Jowai Silchar National Highway blocks after landslide

Shillong Jowai Silchar National Highway 6 has been blocked since 11 pm on Wednesday night due to landslide at Kuliang village.

Taking to facebook, East Jaintia Hills Police informed that a landslide has occured at Kuliang Village in East Jaintia Hills which is on NH 44 (NH6) connecting Khliehriat Meghalaya with Silchar Assam.

No injuries have been reported but the road on NH 44 at Kuliang strech is blocked as on 11 pm of 7/07/2021. All efforts are on to clear the same as early as possible.

The commuters are however advised to avoid comming to the said strech of the NH 44 until the road is cleared.
