Shillong Lajong aims for a hattrick win in North East derby against TRAU

Shillong Lajong is aiming for a hattrick of wins when they face the struggling side Tiddim Road Athletic Union FC (TRAU) in the North East Derby I-League match on Saturday, November 25, at 2 pm in the SSA Stadium, Shillong.

TRAU is yet to register a win in this season of the I-League campaign and has only one point, drawn 1, and lost 5 games, placing them at the bottom of the points table.

In the pre-match press conference on Friday, TRAU FC head coach L. Nandakumar Singh addressed the media, stating that his team will have to be at their very best to attain a positive result against a very good Lajong side. He also admired the home fans for their passionate support for the team.

Meanwhile, for Lajong, after two consecutive wins, they have acquired 9 points and are currently 5th on the points table with 2 wins and 3 draws from 5 matches.

Lajong head coach Bobby L. Nongbet expressed his happiness with his team after two consecutive wins. Going into this game, they will not be taking it easy but still consider TRAU a threat for tomorrow’s match.

This is going to be another North-East Derby spectacle for the fans to witness as both teams will be fighting it out for all three points, with Lajong hoping to make it three wins in a row and TRAU will be looking for their first win of the season.
