Shillong Lajong FC welcomes back coach Birendra Thapa

Shillong Lajong FC is delighted to announce the return of    Coach Birendra Thapa to the helm of the team as the Assistant Coach for the upcoming I-League season. Thapa, who has a rich history with the club, is set to bring his expertise and passion back to Lajong following his coaching stint with Mohammedan SC & Sreenidi Deccan Football Club in the I-League.

Coach Birendra Thapa was a former Lajong player and his previous spell with Lajong as a coach was in the year 2013 until 2019, he then joined Mohammedan SC in 2019 and Sreenidi Deccan in 2021.

With a proven track record and a deep understanding of the club’s ethos, Coach Birendra aims to guide the team towards greater achievements in the season ahead.
